Banking news . Fifteen commercial banks have announced to pay dividend to investors from the last fiscal year’s profit. There is a provision that the dividend declared by the meeting of the Board of Directors of the bank has to be approved by the NRB.
Out of the 27 commercial banks listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), 15 banks have announced to pay dividend to the investors from the distributable profit of the last fiscal year.
NIC Asia, Sanima, Nepal SBI, Bank of Kathmandu, Citizens, Himalayan, Sunrise, Siddhartha, Everest, Machhapuchhre, Nepal Bangladesh, NCC, Global IME, Kumari and Standard Chartered Bank have announced dividends. Some banks have not declared dividends. NIC Asia and Himalayan Bank are the largest dividend announcers. Both the banks have declared 20 percent dividend.
NIC Asia Bank has declared a 20 percent dividend. The bonus is 19 percent and 1 percent in cash. Similarly, Himalayan Bank has also declared 20 percent dividend. The bank has announced 14 percent bonus and 6 percent cash.
